Inarguably 2013 has been the year of Google (GOOG). While Apple (AAPL) has been substantially mute since October, the Mountain View search giant has been constantly under the focus by relentlessly unveiling new products, new apps, new services. In response, the stock has never been higher, the hype around the company has ever been stronger and its leadership has probably never been more confident, and more ambitious.
