6:22 PM Google (GOOG) is working on an Android-based console and smartwatch, as well as a new version of its much-panned Nexus Q streamer (announced last year, but never sold), the WSJ reports; the paper adds Google hopes to "release at least one of [the devices] this fall." Sources claim Google's console efforts, which should please Nvidia (NVDA) whether or not a Tegra processor is used, are partly a reaction to expectations the next Apple TV will act as a console (no doubt thanks to iOS 7's game controller support), and that the company has been following startup Ouya's launch of a $100 Android console.
