YHOO: Yahoo (YHOO) is doing some more Google-like...

5:45 PM Yahoo (YHOO) is doing some more Google-like housecleaning: the company says it will shutter a dozen lightly-used products by the end of July. Among them are the age-old AltaVista search engine and the graphics-centric Axis browser/plugin, which received good reviews when launched a year ago but saw limited uptake. Yahoo announced the shuttering of 6 products a month ago, including its Livestand reader app. Read comments
