1:22 PM Google (GOOG -0.1%) follows up on the Nexus 7/Android 4.3 launches by: 1) Launching Chromecast, a $25 HDMI dongle that allows video to be streamed from PCs and mobile devices to TVs. Though Chromecast's feature set is limited, its price undercuts Roku, Apple TV, and most other Web streaming boxes. 2) Stating Netflix (NFLX -2.4%) is an initial Chromecast content partner (3 free months with a purchase), and that 1080p Netflix streams will finally be available on Android (via 4.3). 3) Adding textbook purchases/rentals to Google Play. 4) Launching an iOS Game Center-like service for Android called Play Games.
